Overview
The design concept is simple, take a well-proven hull, that is stable, fast, fuel-efficient, and delivers a very sea kindly ride and give it a new ”open“ deck to make it one of the most versatile boats available on the market.
"Resolute" was originally commissioned by a wheelchair-bound yachtsman. She was delivered at the end of the 2020 season and spent her first two years in freshwater on the Great Lakes.
The Cape Powercat 3500 PH, ticks all the boxes and then some. In making her wheelchair friendly the builders improved the original Buzzards Bay 33 design. A few of the major improvements are: a larger salon, more headroom in the forward cabin and head, the cockpit was extended, and probably most importantly a carbon beam was engineered and designed so a flush deck runs from the swim platform to the helm to allow for mobility throughout the boat.
Forward Interior Cabins
The master cabin and head are in two separate interior cabin spaces. The access is just opposite the helm on either side. To port, You will have access to the owner's cabin with a queen size berth. The head is to starboard. This is a large open head and only three steps down or a short elevator ride will take you from the main deck to the head level.
Pilot House
The Pilot House is laid out around a centerline helm with excellent 360-degree visibility.
she features a single, Stidd helm seat. The electronics are well laid out directly in front of the helmsman.
Aft to port you will find a nice galley with a single stainless steel sink with a mixing tap for hot and cold water, refrigeration (Isotherm by Indel/Webasto Marine, model: CR 65 EL), an electric cooktop (Force 10 double burner), and an abundance of storage. Starboard aft you will find an L-settee.
